Citing continued global economic weakness, Diodes Inc. said Friday that it expects its third-quarter earnings to come on the low end of its previous estimates at 26 cents to 30 cents per share.
Last month, the Dallas company, which makes components for electronics, computing products and other markets, projected revenue of $134 million to $142 million for the September quarter.
On average, analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters forecast a quarterly profit of 33 cents per share on revenue of $138.1 million. Analyst estimates typically exclude one-time items and therefore are not comparable with the company's new per-share earnings projections.
Diodes' shares slid $2.33, or 11.2 percent, to $18.57 in afternoon trading.
