Offshore oil and gas company ATP Oil & Gas Corp. said Tuesday it sustained "minimal impact" from Hurricane Ike, citing preliminary inspections of its drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
ATP said its Innovator facility withstood minimal damage, according to initial assessments. The company said its Canyon Express location is on line, and it plans to resume production at other locations once receiving stations and pipelines are operational.
In addition, drilling operations are continuing at its Cameron 479 and Mississippi Canyon 941 locations, ATP said.
Ike made landfall in Texas over the weekend, spurring fears over possible disruptions to oil operations in the area. ATP said it had evacuated all personnel from platforms in the path of Ike.
Shares of ATP rose 69 cents, or 3.5 percent, to $20.18. Earlier in the session, the stock fell to a 52-week low of $18.03.
