Tyco Electronics names Shaddock as its CTO

Tyco Electronics Ltd. on Tuesday named Rob Shaddock to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief technology officer.
Shaddock, 50, previously served as senior vice president of Motorola Inc.'s consumer products division.
Shares of Tyco Electronics fell 55 cents, or 2 percent, to $27.77 in afternoon trading. The stock hit a fresh 52-week low of $27.15 earlier in the session.
