Landry's Restaurants Inc. said Wednesday that 14 Houston area restaurants remain closed due to Hurricane Ike and will reopen as soon as power is restored to the units.
Also, all Kemah, Texas, and Galveston, Texas, restaurants remain closed.
One restaurant in Galveston and in Kemah sustained significant damage, the company said.
Landry's expects some restaurants to reopen within the next 45 to 60 days.
Shares fell $1.92, or 14.2 percent, to $11.60 in afternoon trading.
After making landfall last weekend, Hurricane Ike caused at least 49 deaths in 11 states from the Gulf Coast to the upper Ohio Valley, and caused widespread power outages and other damage.
The company said combined July and August revenue totaled $215 million, edging up from $213 million in the same period last year.
