Syneron Medical sets up Chinese joint venture

Skin treatment device maker Syneron Medical Ltd. said Wednesday it inked a joint venture deal with partner EverCare Medical Group to expand its footprint in China.

EverCare, which owns a chain of aesthetic hospitals, has been Syneron's distributor in China for two years. The companies formed Syneron China.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Shares of Israel-based Syneron rose 15 cents to $7.72 in morning trading.
