Gander Mountain names Michael Owens as COO

Gander Mountain Co., a retailer of hunting and outdoor gear, said Monday that its board has named Michael Owens, a former executive for Anheuser-Busch, to serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Owens most recently served as Anheuser-Busch's vice president of business operations. Previously, he was the brewer's vice president of sales and marketing.
Anheuser-Busch was acquired by InBev in November _ forming Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev SA, the world's largest brewer.
Gander Mountain hired another former Anheuser-Busch executive, Steven Uline, to serve as senior vice president of marketing. He was most recently the brewer's vice president of geographic marketing, field media and special event marketing.
The appointments are effective immediately.
Gander Mountain also named Eric Jacobsen as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. He was previously Gander Mountain's senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Casey Ramm was named senior vice president of merchandising. He was previously vice president of marketing.
Gander Mountain shares fell 19 cents, or 8.6 percent, to $2.02 in afternoon trading. The stock has traded between 97 cents and $6.95 during the past 52 weeks.
