Constellation Brands' Andy Berk to retire

Wine company Constellation Brands Inc. on Thursday said Andy Berk will retire, effective May 31.

Berk is a member of Constellation Brands' executive management committee and president and chief executive of Constellation Services, which provides support services to the company's Crown Imports joint venture.

Berk will remain as a consultant for one year and serve on Crown Imports' board of directors.

Constellation Brands has more than 200 brands in its drink portfolio, including wine, imported beer and spirits.

Major brands include Robert Mondavi wines, Clos du Bois, Blackstone, Banrock Station and Arbor Mist, among others.

Shares of the company rose 12 cents to $11.17.
