Among the earnings stories late Monday, May 4, from AP Financial News:

MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ The Hain Celestial Group Inc., which makes organic food and personal care products, said on Monday it lost $41.2 million in its third quarter as it took an accounting charge, and it lowered its guidance again.

DENVER (AP) _ Natural gas and oil producer Forest Oil Corp. said Monday it widened its first-quarter loss because of a write-down for oil and gas properties.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Principal Financial Group Inc. profit fell 35 percent as poor stock market performance reduced assets under management by 22 percent from a year earlier and resulted in increased employee pension and post retirement costs.

BEIJING (AP) _ Online gaming site Sohu.com said Monday its first-quarter net income doubled as online advertising and gaming revenue rose.
