Scientific Games unit prices $225M notes offering

Scientific Games Corp. said Monday that its subsidiary sold $225 million worth of 9.25 percent senior subordinated notes due 2019 in a private offering to institutional buyers.
The casino equipment maker said Scientific Games International Inc. plans to use proceeds to buy back some of its outstanding debt and for other general corporate purposes.
Shares rose $1.55, or 9.1 percent, to close at $18.56, and slipped 54 cents, or nearly 3 percent in aftermarket electronic trading.
