Maguire Properties Inc. said Tuesday that it has temporarily increased its board to nine members, but will lower it to seven directors when its annual shareholders meeting takes place.
The real estate investment trust named Michael J. Gillfillan and Joseph P. Sullivan to fill its new board posts. Gillfillan, retired vice chairman and chief credit officer of Wells Fargo Bank, is a partner at private equity fund Meriturn Partners. Sullivan is a director for HCP Inc., also a REIT.
Maguire Properties said Gillfillan and Sullivan will stand for re-election with current board members Christine N. Garvey, Nelson C. Rising, George A. Vandeman, Paul M. Watson and David L. Weinstein at its annual shareholders meeting.
Remaining board members Jonathan M. Brooks and Cyrus S. Hadidi decided not to run for another term.
