Navy awards $47.8M contract to L-3 Communications

L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. said Monday that it was awarded a $47.8 million follow-on contract by the U.S. Navy for its aircraft structural life surveillance program.
The five-year contract includes engineering and information services to oversee structural integrity of the Navy's fixed and rotary wing aircraft. L-3 has been a Navy contractor for 10 years.
L-3 shares lost a penny to $74.49 in Monday morning.
