SAIC gets contract worth up to $284 million

Science Applications International Corp. said Tuesday it received a contract from the U.S. Joint Forces Command to provide research, development, engineering and technical services.

The defense contractor said the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year performance period and a ceiling value of $284 million.

The work for the Joint Concept Development and Experimentation Directorate, which coordinates Defense Department efforts to explore how the military can operate in complex environments in the future, will be performed mainly in Suffolk, Va.
