Clean Energy Fuels prices follow-on offering

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. said Friday that it has priced a public offering of 8.2 million shares of its common stock at $8.30 per share.

The shares are being offered at a price 7.8 percent lower than the Thursday's closing level of $9.

The natural gas provider plans to use the offering's proceeds for working capital and other general corporate purposes, such as capital expenditures related to station construction activities, plant investments or future acquisitions.

The underwriters were given a 30-day option to buy up to an additional 1.2 million shares to cover any overallotments.

The offering is targeted to close on Wednesday.

Clean Energy shares edged up 6 cents to $9.06 in morning trading Friday. Its shares have traded in a range of $3.23 to $19.95 over the past year.
