Shares of some top managed care companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Aetna fell $.14 or .6 percent, to $25.05.

CIGNA fell $.16 or .7 percent, to $24.09.

Coventry Healthcare rose $.03 or .2 percent, to $18.71.

Humana rose $.87 or 2.8 percent, to $32.26.

UnitedHealth fell $.14 or .6 percent, to $24.98.

WellPoint fell $.56 or 1.1 percent, to $50.89.
