Barrick Gold rose $1.31 or 3.9 percent, to $34.86.
Gold Fields rose $.43 or 3.6 percent, to $12.48.
Goldcorp rose $1.16 or 3.3 percent, to $35.91.
Newmont Mining rose $1.03 or 2.5 percent, to $41.90.
