AT&T Inc rose $.11 or .4 percent, to $24.95.
Qwest fell $.03 or .7 percent, to $4.12.
Sprint Nextel fell $.10 or 2.1 percent, to $4.71.
Verizon rose $.05 or .2 percent, to $30.78.
