Shares of some top biotechnology companies were mixed at the close of trading:
Amgen fell $.18 or .3 percent, to $52.76.
Biogen Idec rose $1.62 or 3.6 percent, to $46.77.
Celgene rose $.26 or .5 percent, to $48.10.
Gilead Sciences fell $.01 or percent, to $46.83.
