Shares of some top specialty retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

AutoZone rose $1.65 or 1.1 percent, to $152.76.

Gap fell $.36 or 2.2 percent, to $16.04.

Home Depot rose $.08 or .3 percent, to $23.71.

Lowes rose $.10 or .5 percent, to $19.51.

OfficeMax rose $.10 or 1.6 percent, to $6.38.

TJX Companies fell $.19 or .6 percent, to $31.27.
