Barrick Gold rose $1.53 or 4.6 percent, to $35.08.
Gold Fields rose $.56 or 4.6 percent, to $12.61.
Goldcorp rose $1.72 or 4.9 percent, to $36.47.
Newmont Mining rose $1.46 or 3.6 percent, to $42.33.
