Arch Coal fell $.37 or 2.4 percent, to $14.86.
Consol Energy fell $1.59 or 4.7 percent, to $32.28.
Massey Energy fell $1.02 or 5.4 percent, to $17.90.
Peabody Energy fell $.97 or 3.2 percent, to $29.05.
