Catfish

(March 18, 1999) -- Sitting here at the kitchen table looking out at the clouds over the land and trying to figure out what to write for the next column, Lucinda told me she's stirring up some catfish for dinner tonight. She knows I'm not a big fan, but I'll eat it if she makes it. It's by far the best fish. I can't stomach salmon or other fish Lucinda's friends are always claiming to eat. I know catfish isn't the most healthy fish in the world, but it's fish. That it's fish is bad enough for me.
