eMeringue Recipes

Meringue-a-ritas

  • 1 eMeringue pie top
  • 3 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. sour mix
  • 2 oz. strawberry liqueur
  • 2 dashes of Rose's lime juice
  • Fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup of ice
Fill blender with ice. Add all ingredients. Blend at medium speed for about 15 seconds, or until smooth. Hollow out meringue, forming a shallow bowl. Pour blender contents in meringue. Garnish with lime slice. Serve chilled.


Strawberry Meringue

  • 1 eMeringue pie top
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves
Pour strawberry preserves over top of meringue. Serves 1-10.


Meringue-wich

  • 1 cup honey
  • 4 tsbp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup ground ginger
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 eMeringue pie tops
  • 1 quart melted chocolate
Here's a bedtime snack for the kids! Combine first five ingredients in large mixing bowl until they form a sticky paste. Spread evenly over one meringue. Place other meringue on top. Cover with melted chocolate. Serve warm or cold!


Italian Meringue Balls

  • 1/2 lb meringue
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pound ground steak
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cups salad or peanut oil
Here's one that Nell Carter swears by! Brown meat in oil over medium flame. Season with salt and pepper, add grated cheese, and blend well. Cool. Place 2 tablespoons meringue in the palm of the hand. Make a well in merangue and put in 1 heaping tablespoon of meat mixture. Mold meringue around meat into a ball. Dip balls in beaten eggs and roll in crumbs. Fry in deep hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes. Do not fry more than 3 at a time or an explosion might occur. Remove balls from oil with a slotted spoon and serve immediately.

Mount Everest

  • 1 eMeringue pie top, six inches high at center
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. rock candy
  • 1 package black licorice
  • 4 Mulan action figures
  • 1 electric fan
Scatter rock candy throughout meringue. Run licorice from outer edge of meringue to raised center. Secure to meringue with toothpicks. Place action figures into meringue next to licorice. Turn fan to "High" and aim it towards meringue. Sprinkle powdered sugar into fan.


Treasure Tart

  • 1 eMeringue pie top
  • 1 pre-made graham pie crust
  • 1 box of Lemonheads candy
  • 1 Jell-o lemon pudding mix
  • 1 toothpick with a skull and crossbones flag
  • 1 treasure
Place treasure (a pudding-proof watch or a half-dollar coin works great here) on top of graham pie crust. Follow Jell-o instructions to create a thick lemon pudding mix. Place it evenly on graham pie crust, completely concealing the treasure. Gently lay the eMeringue top over the pie. Decorate with Lemonheads. Apply the pirate flag toothpick anywhere away from the actual treasure location. Chill for an hour and serve.


Boo-Meringue

  • Several eMeringue pie tops
  • 2 ft. kitchen string
Lay meringue flat on cutting board. Label one end as "top." Cut two adjacent one-inch circles in center of meringue. Cut a larger hole near bottom of meringue. Attach each end of string to each side of meringue. Trick or treat!


General Tso's Meringue

  • 3 eMeringue pie tops
  • 1/2 cup red chili peppers
  • 2 tbsp peanut oil
  • 1 cup chopped scallions
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
Stir fry scallions in peanut oil until tender. Add soy sauce and chili peppers. Stir fry for 2 additional minutes. Chop meringue tops into one-inch pieces and cover with corn starch. Add meringue chunks to mixture. Stir fry for 1 minute. Serve.


Crazy Larry's Hangover Cure

  • 1 eMeringue pie top
  • 2 apples
  • 7 dozen eggs (use the Eggulator!)
  • 10 saffron threads
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. tequila
  • 1 London Broil
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
For this recipe you will need a large clean table. Crack open eggs into mixing bowl. Discard shells. Whisk eggs lightly for 10 seconds. Slice apples in half. Remove skin. Remove seeds. Discard apples. Separate saffron threads into two piles of six and four. Whisk eggs for 10 more seconds. Marinate London Broil in tequila. Place a grain of salt onto each apple seed. Wrap seeds in apple skin. Fold cottage cheese into egg mixture. Pour into pockets. Drink meat-flavored tequila. Lie down on table. Use meringue as pillow. Place London Broil on face.
