Cash-King Portfolio Report
by David Forrest (TMF Bogey)

Alexandria, VA (Feb. 25, 1998) -- For those who have joined us in the Cash-King message board folders on AOL and the web, and have been following our writings in this portfolio report, you have no doubt come across the name of Warren Buffett. In his book The Warren Buffett Way, Robert Hagstrom Jr. describes Buffett as the "world's greatest investor." Buffett's holding company, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A) has compounded annual returns of 23.7% since inception in 1958. That, my friends, is fantastic. How then, other than buying shares in Berkshire, does this help you? Glad you asked!

Clearly one way to become more knowledgeable and profitable in your investments is to read about and learn how others have been successful. While Warren Buffett doesn't give interviews and keeps mostly to himself, we all can catch glimpses of his brilliance. Each year, Berkshire Hathaway puts out its annual report to shareholders. In this document, Buffett discusses the business and through his writings we are able to see how he makes the decisions he does. This is a must read for all investors who are serious about learning how businesses and great investing work. So, in this abbreviated column today, I leave you all with a link to the 1996 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report to shareholders. Mr. Buffett is infinitely more capable of teaching you than I am, so click in and read on!
