<THE HARRY JONES PORTFOLIO>
By Harry Jones
Contrary to what most people think about farmers, most of us operating farms of any scale do use personal computers. I don't. I also don't buy Internet stocks. Or at least I thought I didn't until Ernie (my barber) pointed out -- apparently this is true -- that America Online is now part of the S&P 500 index fund? So I guess I'm an Internet shareholder too, now.
But I'm still not going to use computers, though my friends do.
The Harry Jones Portfolio had a bad day today, losing 0.49%, and the S&P 500 didn't fare much better, dropping 0.21%.
