<THE HARRY JONES PORTFOLIO>

Two Eggs, Toast, and Bacon

by Harry Jones

(February 23, 1999) -- Irv says that Farmland, Deere & Co., and Growmark Inc. have joined together to create the new online service for farmers, called VantagePoint Network. I didn't know that Deere & Co. was involved when I talked about it yesterday.

Anyway, looking at today, the portfolio is down $3 for the year. That's the cost of two eggs, two slices of toast and jam, and two slices of bacon. And coffee. And orange juice. And a good conversation at the diner.

The S&P declined 0.08% today.
