I thought about posting this on the "Consumer Debt" board since so many times, there are topics about the expense of a wedding. However, LBYM has a special place in my fiscal heart so I decided to post it here.

My 22 year old daughter is getting married! While that in and of itself is completely normal, the really cool part is that she and her fianc have listened to the wisdom and advice of the "old sage" (the dad formerly known as the old man) and chosen to do a small, family only wedding and pocket the difference between that expense and the budgeted amount for a bigger wedding, for a start on their financial security!

I could not be prouder of my daughter, regardless of her decision here. However, it does show that she has learned something over the years. There is much hope for this generation!

d'man (still beaming with pride over this decision)
