ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson recently said that he sees a lot of demand for natural gas in the future, which will make it the second largest energy source by 2040. ExxonMobil also thinks the United States will be exporting gas soon, with Cheniere Energy leading the way. It might be easy for investors to dismiss ExxonMobil as just talking up its book.
