With the price wars at a stalemate, same-day delivery is the next battleground.

With Best Buy and Target promising price-match guarantees against online competition, and Amazon.com (AMZN -1.14%) now collecting sales taxes in more states, "showrooming" might officially be over.

At the same time, eBay (EBAY 1.01%) and Wal-Mart (WMT -0.65%) are testing out innovative new delivery options in their fight against Amazon.
