Arena Pharmaceuticals (ARNA) and VIVUS (VVUS) are the two stocks most typically associated with obesity drugs, but diabetes-drug maker Novo Nordisk (NVO -1.43%) is also trying to enter this space. The company is completing phase 3 clinical trials in an attempt to get Victoza approved as a weight-loss drug for obese and overweight patients with type 2 diabetes.
