Motley Fool Portfolio Reports Terms of Service
Thank you for purchasing a Motley Fool Portfolio Report (“the Product”). This page sets forth the special Terms and Conditions by which The Motley Fool provides you with access to the Product (the "Terms"). It supplements the Fool's Rules (our standard terms and conditions), which are incorporated by reference. By purchasing, and using the Product you are agreeing to abide by these Terms as well as the Fool's Rules INCLUDING THE BINDING ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER DETAILED IN SECTION 10 OF THE FOOL’S RULES.
The Portfolio Reports provide recommendations for buying and selling stock in publicly traded companies and corporate or municipal bonds. Portfolio Reports are not actively managed portfolios and are not to be construed as personalized advice. The allocations and investments listed in the Portfolio Reports are considered accurate as of the time of publishing and will not be updated in the future.
All services and features provided by Portfolio Reports are provided “AS IS.” The Fool assumes no responsibility for the timeliness or delivery of any content or the deletion or failure to store any personalized or customized settings.
An affiliate of The Motley Fool provides investment products that may hold securities mentioned in our publications. Editorial personnel have no nonpublic knowledge of the affiliate's holdings, and the affiliate's personnel have no knowledge of any editorial content before it is published.
The Motley Fool strives to operate with the highest level of integrity and to treat everyone — our customers, employees and community — fairly. With that in mind, we've put in place guidelines with respect to the Portfolio Reports in addition to our standard trading rules. They include:
● Employees and contractors cannot trade based upon any knowledge of an upcoming recommendation by the Portfolio Reports. They may only trade in the security after a Portfolio Report recommendation has been published.
Please note there may be occasions where a Portfolio Report takes a position with respect to a security that is counter to that of another Fool premium service.
Fees and Access
There will be no cash refunds, except as required by state laws, for Portfolio Reports because all of the information is delivered to you up front and there are no ongoing recommendations. Only credit for Motley Fool products may be issued. If you purchase ongoing coverage alongside a Portfolio Report, only the ongoing coverage portion may be cancelled or suspended. That Premium Service’s terms shall govern any ongoing coverage arrangement.
Individuals may purchase access to Portfolio Reports individually, or they may be included with another Motley Fool Premium Service at the sole discretion of The Motley Fool. Portfolio Reports, if purchased individually, are billed in full at the time of purchase. Unless you elect to receive ongoing coverage, there will be no further charges related to a Portfolio Report.
You are responsible for the applicable access fee(s) as set forth on this site. If you are currently a subscriber to any of our other US services, you may receive a prorated credit for the remainder of your subscription to such Premium Services towards your purchase of a Portfolio Report.
We want to help you make money. However, The Motley Fool is not
in the business of rendering personalized investment advice. We don't (and
can't) know your financial situation, risk tolerances, or investing objectives.
Accordingly, the decisions made and actions taken by the Product do not
constitute a recommendation that a particular security, strategy or action taken
is suitable for you or any specific person for that matter.
When you purchase a Portfolio Report, we encourage you to review the Portfolio and learn more about their methodologies and strategies before committing your own resources. Please just don’t mimic our actions. The Portfolio Reports employ different strategies of varying degrees of risk, and you must determine what you can afford and tolerate in light of the risks involved.
The Product bases its recommendations and forecasts on techniques, information and sources believed to be reliable in the past and cannot guarantee future accuracy and results. The Motley Fool and the writers will not be liable for any investment decision you make, or action you take based upon reliance of any material you read here. The Motley Fool is a company of investors writing for investors and as such, the writers (and/or the company) may own stocks mentioned by the Product.
