High customer satisfaction ratings

After surveying over 38,000 auto insurance customers, J.D. Power awarded Amica Auto Insurance "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Auto Insurers in the New England Region" in the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Auto Insurance Study.

This is the ninth consecutive year Amica has taken the top prize in New England and the 22nd year in a row that J.D. Power has recognized Amica for highest customer satisfaction with auto insurers. Amica's score of 867 out of 1,000 was also 39 points higher than the regional average.

The study examines customer satisfaction in five factors: billing process and policy information, claims, interaction, policy offerings, and price.

Wide range of policy discounts

Amica offers a large number of discounts. It offers discounts for bundling auto, home, renters, life, umbrella, and more. It offers discounts for young drivers who complete a driver training program, good students, and if drivers under 30 have parents who have had a policy for at least five years. Amica also offers discounts for how you drive (accident-free and driver training) and discounts for what you drive (anti-theft, forward-collision warning features, and more).

Established insurer

Amica was founded in 1907 and is the oldest mutual insurer of cars in the U.S. AM Best has given the financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) to Amica Mutual Group. AM Best's ratings are based on an insurer's ability to pay claims, debts, and other financial obligations. The superior rating means Amica has a superior ability to meet its financial obligations and pay its claims.

Premium coverage

Amica offers Platinum Choice Auto coverage with its premium coverage in one package. The package consists of:

  • Glass repair or replacement, without a deductible
  • Credit monitoring service
  • New car replacement coverage that replaces your totaled new car with a new one. To qualify, your car must be under one year old and have fewer than 15,000 miles.
  • Prestige rental coverage with no daily limit and a $5,000 maximum that lets you rent a car similar to the one you own after it's been damaged in a covered accident
