Motley Fool Explorer

What is Motley Fool Explorer?

Motley Fool Explorer is our simplest, most effective solution for investors who simply want to know what we believe is most important to be focusing on in the market today.

In an increasingly complex world, you've asked us to filter out the noise and help you answer one simple question:

"What should I be investing in right now?"

And that's what we created Explorer to do... to help you cut through the endless choices we have as investors in today's information age — the headlines, the hype cycles, the exhaustive list of recommendations — and help you find tomorrow's next big thing.

Curious about how Explorer works on the inside?

We've given you full access to our "Explorer Hub" — so feel free to click around this site for a sneak preview of our newest service as we race to uncover David Gardner's #1 "Next Big Thing" pick on May 18.

You can also check out our other great FAQs below for more information.

How does Explorer work?

Every month, our elite team of Explorer analysts comes together to find you the single best opportunity we see unfolding across the stock market today. Whether it's self-driving cars, fighting cancer, or something as often overlooked as dividend stocks under perfect market conditions — our goal is finding you today's biggest play.

Here's how it works:

During the first week of each month, David and our team will reveal the most explosive trend we see developing across the market today, taking you right inside our decision-making process. We base our selection on current market conditions (what's cheap, what's overpriced, and what's overlooked), on-the-ground research (leveraging our access to company CEOs, industry experts, and exclusive industry conferences), and, of course, David's famous Foolish investing style.

During the second week of each month, we'll reveal four stocks — all highly vetted companies that David actively recommends today — that we believe best capture the hard-hitting potential of the trend we've identified, and dive into exactly why we're so excited about what each one can do for investors moving forward.

During the third week of each month, our elite team will vote on which of those four stocks we believe is most likely to dominate this trend, and the stock market, for investors over the long term. We'll include our rationale and why we believe one investment may be better for overall investors than the others.

And during the fourth week of each month, we'll unveil our winning stock for the trend at hand, providing a complete breakdown of why we believe it's such an outstanding investment for everyday investors in today's market.

It's that simple!

Who is behind the Explorer team?

The Explorer team has been hand-picked by David Gardner himself (co-founder and chairman of The Motley Fool) from among The Fool's most elite stock market analysts.

Led by David's long-term protégé, Simon Erickson, the team has been assembled specifically for their track record in analyzing and successfully identifying the stock market's most explosive and sustainable opportunities for investors over the long term.

What separates Explorer from other Motley Fool services?

Although Motley Fool Explorer members have access to Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, and every one of David Gardner's coveted stock recommendations — up 243% on average, versus 77% for the S&P 500 in the same period — they're getting something even more valuable than an expert list of market-beating investments.

They're getting focused guidance.

We decided to launch Explorer because we've recognized that as technology and the pace of innovation continue to overhaul nearly every industry across the market, it's getting harder for everyday investors to focus on the stocks that matter right now.

For those investors, an ever-growing list of stock market opportunities may not be the most efficient or effective way to decide how to invest their hard-earned dollars. Simply put, there are too many good choices — but not enough great choices. And in today's fast-paced world, we've seen firsthand how that can lead some Foolish investors to stay out of the market altogether, always anxious that they might miss a better opportunity.

That's why we created Explorer — to help our members answer the increasingly frustrating question:

"What should I be investing in right now?"

And that's what we're setting out to do — to find you the right stocks, leading the right trends, at the right time.

Does Explorer require a lot of my time?

No — and that's the point!

While we encourage our members to follow along as we break down today's most exciting trends — we certainly don't expect you to.

Our goal is to help you find the stock market's single best opportunity each and every month — and while we plan on having a lot of fun along the way, our priority is making sure you know exactly where to invest, whenever you're ready to pull the trigger.

Plain and simple.

What about David Gardner's #1 "Next Big Thing" stock?
