When you play Monopoly, do you always call first dibs on being the banker? And when your parents were late in doling out your allowance, were you always there to tack on interest? If so, you dig financial services, and you're probably giddy about next week.

More than a handful of banks will be posting quarterly results next week. We're not talking about regional thrifts either. On Tuesday alone, you have Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), BB&T (NYSE:BBT), and Fifth Third (NASDAQ:FITB) reporting. And they'll do so alongside financial bellwethers Merrill Lynch (NYSE:MER) and State Street (NYSE:STT).

You can bankroll out the carpet because other notable banking institutions like Wachovia (NYSE:WB), FleetBoston (NYSE:FBF), and Synovus (NYSE:SNV) follow later in the week. Fans of our Credit Center may like to know that MBNA (NYSE:KRB) will also step up to the earnings podium to go over its third-quarter results.

So if you smell money in the days to come it may just be that aftershave we like to call eau de earnings season. The financial services sector can smell it. It has got its grubby little fingerprints all over next week's calendar.

Do financial companies reporting have you worried maybe you're sending too much of your money their way? Are you in a credit crunch? Do you have a game plan to get yourself out? All this and more -- in the Consumer Credit/Credit Cards discussion board. Only on Fool.com
