    - VERY STRONG GUIDANCE FORWARD. 2Q 2008 will be significantly stronger than profitable 1Q 2008 as a result of multiple contracts won and because the new China plant is ramping up production significantly this quarter. Growth in the second half will accelerate as a result of seasonal strength and continued production increases in China and Mexico.

    For 2008 SMTX expects revenues ranging from $270M to $300M and net income from 50 to 70c/share. Each quarter being stronger than the previous one as a result of major contract wins.

    Ingenico and Harris Corp, two of SMTX largest customers, have won significant contracts in recent months. Ingenico's products will be manufactured in China while Harris' products will be manufactured in Canada
