Co-Founder Tom Gardner on the First Week of "11 O'Clock Stock"

Have you checked out The Motley Fool's new "11 O'Clock Stock" series? If not, it's time to start coming to Fool.com everyday at 11 a.m. ET to get a brand-new stock pick from our team of analysts. In the video below, CEO and co-founder Tom Gardner talks about the first week of the series and what investors can do to get more involved:

In the first four days of "50 Stocks" we've already invested in four companies that look poised to beat the market and provide investors with lasting returns.

  • Qualcomm -- With its expertise in mobile technology.
  • Diageo -- A beverage company with a host of great brands and strong cash flow.
  • Noble -- Operates in the beaten-down oil and gas industry and is poised for a rebound.
  • Fiserv -- A leader in providing valuable services to banks.

And we're just getting started. As the series progresses we'll keep unearthing new great stocks across the full breadth of the market. We still have more than 40 stocks across the rest of the series. So get in the game, start coming back to Fool.com everyday for a new pick and get involved. Leave a comment in the comments box at the end of each article for our advisors. Better yet, if you've got a stock idea on your mind, leave a comment below on this page. We're always on the hunt for winning stocks.

The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!

In the years I have been reading and subscribing to TMF, I have never seen a disclosure for Tom Gardner. Have I missed something or does Tom invest in alternatives like currencies, preferreds, etc. and not stocks? Thanks.

Solar and especially Wind have passed oil and coal in less expense to use, and I believe are two of the best long term growth arenas. Motley Fool should be working this area hard. I am especially looking, not for the big solar/wind corporations, but for the providers of the key, essential items that make all the big guys go... maybe cable, transformers, inverters, towers and structures materials, and the essential materials for blades or panels, stuff like that. Can you fools help?
