The iPad Crushes the Chinese Market

Historically, China has always been a very successful market for Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) , but the Q3 numbers are in for iPad sales in China, and they are incredible. Over 2 million iPads shipped this quarter, up a staggering 80% from last quarter's Chinese iPad sales. In this video, Motley Fool analyst Lyons George tells us just how big of a win these numbers are for Apple, and how the timing couldn't be better, as the company's tablet is beginning to face increasing competition worldwide, and a big new challenge to its smartphone dominance is emerging.

There is absolutely no argument that Apple is at the center of technology's largest revolution ever, and that longtime shareholders have been handsomely rewarded with over 1,000% gains. However, there is a debate raging as to whether Apple remains a buy. The Motley Fool's senior technology analyst and managing bureau chief, Eric Bleeker, is prepared to fill you in on both reasons to buy and reasons to sell Apple, and what opportunities are left for the company (and more importantly, your portfolio) going forward. I like the way these guys like to give Apple a back handed complemented by talking about their success in China; then quickly implying that Google's been just as suceesful by comparing recent reported data 50% of the tablets that "shipped" were Android tablets. Tacitly implying that Google actually makes $ from those "shipped" tablets- which it doesn't. And how the "shipped" tablets equate to market share. Which they don't. Sold tablets equate to market. Talk about slick deceitful reporting.
