EPS came in at $2.73. The 18 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $2.56 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $2.73 for Q2 were 20% higher than the prior-year quarter's $2.28 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $2.74 for Q2 were 22% higher than the prior-year quarter's $2.24 per share. For the quarter, gross margin was 56.1%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 38.6%, 50 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 27.1%, 160 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
