Even as General Motors (GM 1.20%) has brought models to market that include a Siri button, Apple (AAPL 0.52%) is continue to press for greater integration between smartphones and autos. Ford (F 0.69%) has long boasted the Sync System from Microsoft (MSFT -2.45%). An investigation of a few recent patents reveals that Apple is charging ahead.
