The financial aspects of magicJack VocalTec's (CALL) business will be overseen by a new individual. The company announced that Jose Gordo has been given the nod to be its chief financial officer. He replaces Peter Russo, who will remain with the firm as a consultant.
Gordo joined magicJack VocalTec earlier this year. Prior to his time at the company, he was a co-founder of the privately held investment firm Southcap Partners, and earlier, served as partner at the law office of Akerman Senterfitt.
In the press release announcing the appointment, magicJack VocalTec quoted its CEO Gerald Vento as saying of Gordo that "his operational skill set and financial acumen will be extremely valuable to the company as we enter our next stage of growth."
