Ford's Fusion Challenges Toyota's Hybrids

Ford (NYSE: F  ) officials say that the company will past its own full-year record for hybrid sales sometime soon -- before the end of May.

That's huge. But is it huge enough to beat hybrid king Toyota (NYSE: TM  ) ? In this video, contributor John Rosevear looks closely at Ford's recent gains on the hybrid-car front -- and answers the question of whether the Blue Oval will upset the Japanese hybrid king this year.

If you're concerned that Ford's turnaround has run its course, relax -- there's good reason to think that the Blue Oval still has big growth opportunities ahead. We've outlined those opportunities in detail, in the Motley Fool's premium Ford research service. If you're looking for some freshly updated guidance to Ford's prospects in coming years, you've come to the right place -- click here to get started now.

The only problem with any Ford product is that you have to deal with a Ford dealer after the purchase. Other than that, I'd probably be driving one today instead of having two Lexus.

Either the writer was in too big of a hurry to read their own first sentence or Ford's officials can't speak properly.

I'm happy to see Ford doing well. The only American company to turn down the bailout dollars.

    Great for Ford and America!

Awesome that GM and Chrysler are also doing better and have paid back much of the LOAN "Bailout"...

To bad the banks that help start this mess got to keep the "BAILOUT" money and then pass it off to the CEO, CFO etc etc all while not loaning much out to American small business owners, first time home buyers etc. Thanks George Bush! George Bush the worst President ever! Amazing that because some are a Republican that still can't admit or acknowledge what this POS did and didn't do..9-11 That's ok only 4000 Americans died on American soil. Our country was attacked! But lets keep up with Benghazi !?!?!? 2 Fake wars where over 5000 American Soldiers have died cost our country 3 trillion all over lies?!?! But that's cool because my Republican handbook says pretend it didn't happen... WTF wake up and take our party back from the crazy Tealiban!
