Is the "i" in iOS 7 for Innovation?

For some time, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) has been criticized for falling behind in the quest for innovation and leadership in the technology space. It's in this spirit that various design elements of iOS 7 have been called ugly and uninspired, but there are some reasons to be hopeful. While the refresh may only lay the groundwork for new innovation, it stands as a beacon of where Apple is trying to go, and that's good news for investors.

In the following video, contributor Doug Ehrman discusses why iOS 7 may be more innovative that it appears at an initial glance.

Flat out.... NO. I can't stand how much this site sucks Apple's D.

Do some research. iOS7 is already in the hands of developers. Crossing your fingers and hoping for the best doesn't mean anything because the confirmed (read it again, CONFIRMED)lack of innovation has already produced a loud yawn from the companies who have early access to it.

iOS 7 may well have been called ugly and uninspired by FUDS merchants that haven't even seen it.

Only an early beta is in the hands of developers.

And no, there is no lack of innovation at Apple. Just look at the preview of the new Mac Pro.

Just don't expect major innovations every quarter. Life just isn't like that. It doesn't dance to your copy deadline.

Samsung haven't innovated significantly in the last 25 years. Apple gets stick if journalists can't identify an innovation that they can write about every quarter. Grow up.
