The prices drivers pay at the pump are on the decline, according to an Energy Information Administration report (link opens as PDF) released today.

Retail regular gasoline prices clocked in at a national average of $3.561 per gallon on Aug. 12, $0.071 below last week's price tag. Compared to a year ago, pump prices are $0.160 cheaper.

For the same period, average retail diesel prices also fell, down $0.013 over the last week to $3.896 per gallon. Diesel prices are $0.069 below where they were 12 months ago.
