DC Comics' move from its long-standing New York headquarters to new digs in L.A. should give a meaningful boost to its comic book movie efforts, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

Why? Because Los Angeles is where fellow Time Warner (TWX) subsidiary Warner Bros.operates. Historically, producers there have cherry-picked DC characters and storylines for major motion pictures. Now they'll be side-by-side with the DC editors and creators who know the characters best, Tim says.

We're already seeing the benefits of getting more comic book talent involved via Arrow, one of the top-rated shows on Warner's CW network. Co-creators Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti, and Marc Guggenheim are all fans of the medium generally and DC characters specifically, and together they've transformed Arrow into a launchpad for expanding the DC movie and TV universe.

Will DC's efforts pay off as big as Marvel's have? What do you expect from Arrow in terms of furthering the DC universe?  Please watch the video to get Tim's full take and then leave a comment to let us know where you stand.
