There are plenty of places to get bargains in the real world. From DSW (NYSE: DSW) for footwear, to Family Dollar (NYSE: FDO) for sundries, to chains like Fred's (Nasdaq: FRED) for just about everything else, everyone knows how to scratch the thrifty itch.
What about cyberspace?
Most online stores have their clearance bins. Discount department-store chains like Target (NYSE: TGT) and warehouse clubs like Costco (Nasdaq: COST) have active Internet operations, but isn't Overstock.com (Nasdaq: OSTK) the brand that defines the niche of high-end wares at closeout prices?
We're going to talk Overstock now, and that means you'll be reading plenty about naked shorts and Sith Lords over the next four articles. Overstock is certainly a colorful company, and not all Fools agree in their opinions of it.
I am bullish on the company, and we'll get to that shortly. Michael Goode is bearish. We'll get to that shortly, too. Who is right? Read on and decide for yourself.
Duel on!
