Income stream from dividends is cool, so are currencies, commodities, REITs, and the list goes on, and on, and on. I have lived through many dark, emotionally and financially bleak valleys, yet we always pull through. I do believe times will become tougher, costing our nation big time, but not our complete downfall. Granted there is an army of doom-n-gloomers firing salvo, after salvo of negative, counter-productive, counter-intuitive, this-is-the-end war chant. Since I was 14, an age I began to dabble in securities, commodities, currencies through an account my friend's father had; however, he rarely used it, so I piggy-backed on it, thus began my lifelong affair with investing. The pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit of our nation is still there, it's just that, we as a nation have lost focus and have lost sight of who we are. We are a resilient, adaptive, inventive nation and overcome we will. Doom-n-gloom sells ad space, air-time, spikes ratings, readership, viewership, helps with one's company evals for raises, bonuses, promotions, accolades thus padding one's resume in the process. I have yet to read an article, view a report that does not pander to the camera, the pen, the keyboard, nor to the general gloom of the times. While I wholeheartedly agree these are hard times I cannot bring myself to jump on the doom-wagon, I sincerely believe in us, we the people. Corny as it sounds, it is the truth.I am babbling again, my apologies, but keep the faith. Food 4 Thought. Health, happiness and much success to all. Hooah!
