Today I started my portfolio by purchasing 16 shares of S&P 500 Depositary Receipts, ticker symbol SPY (also know as "Spiders"), at $124 17/32 apiece and paid a commission of $49.50 for a grand total of $2,042.00.
The S&P 500 was down 0.09% today, and the Harry Jones Portfolio was down 3.62%.
