(March 8, 1999) -- We picked up both trucks this weekend. Irv's truck needed a new clutch. His truck is twenty-five years old and has 167,000 miles on it. This is his second clutch. His truck has treated him well and as long as that doesn't change and any repairs aren't too high, he'll keep it running. He does most of the maintenance himself, oil changes and tune ups and tire rotations. We do that ourselves for most of the farm equipment, too. You teach yourself what you don't somehow already know.
My truck was looked at for any problems and came back fine. I just do that every other season for it like most people do annual doctor checkups. I don't do those.
