Welcome back to another Foolish review of the coldest stocks as ranked by Motley Fool CAPS. We're looking at the three worst-performing industries over the past 30 days and your favorite short and long candidates in each.

Last week, homebuilders and residential construction led the laggards. This time, they're the first and third of the worst, with homebuilders down 16.8% since early June and residential construction companies down 13.3% over the same period.

And in second, it's more home lowliness. Subprime lenders are down 13.5% as a group over the last 30 days.
