Hot Stocks You're Buying Now

Welcome back to another Foolish review of the hottest stocks as ranked by Motley Fool CAPS. We're looking at the three best-performing industries over the past 30 days and your favorite long and short candidates in each.

The reign of the chip kings is over. After three consecutive weeks on the throne, today they give way to home-furnishing stores, which, as a group, have returned 21.5% since late October.

No one else even comes close. Not even the money-grubbers. Financiers are a distant second, with a 13.3% average gain over the past 30 days.

Third place, meanwhile, brings a new entrant: voice and data service providers. As a group, these chalky talkies have improved 4.7% as a group over the past month.

According to you, our Foolish readers, the best stock in these industries to own now -- i.e., those with four or five of the maximum five stars in CAPS -- is:
