Although we don't believe in timing the market or panicking over market movements, we do like to keep an eye on big changes -- just in case they're material to our investing thesis.

What: Uranium Energy (AMEX: UEC  ) shares jumped 22% as uranium miners traded higher.

So what: Miner Cameco (NYSE: CCJ  ) reported earnings that topped expectations and drove the entire sector higher. The uranium trade that began more than a month ago continues, this time on real earnings news.

Now what: Today's move wasn't really a reflection of Uranium Energy's individual position but rather followed a move by the entire sector. The momentum is in the favor of uranium miners, and this Fool isn't going to stand in the way. I would like to see a better price, but gains seem to come day after day, so I feel very Foolish missing out on a trader's dream.

    Travis, UEC is up in general with the Uranium market but it also has pending news involving the start of production of Uranium at its Mine which was projected to begin sometime in Nov. 2010.

    So you have all the investors that have been watching UEC for months start loading up on shares before the news is released. Its the classic buy before the news rally.
